  1. DRD BRIDE: Jodie Shebath

Dana Rebecca Bridal Jewelry Jodie Shebath

THE COUPLEAndrew and I met on J-date, back when it was relevant. We got engaged the day before Valentine’s Day, which was one week before our two-year anniversary.

THE PARTYThe wedding ceremony and reception were held at The Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel. Nicki Eisenstein, from BCR Events, helped to plan the evening. The vibe we were going for was romantic and classic with a primarily white landscape and pops of deep purple. We were obsessed with our hand drawn Hamsa ketubah (created by Alyssa Judlo and Rachel Drescher) which served as a focal point in our ceremony. Floral and design were orchestrated by the fabulous Richard Remiard. The chuppah was very simply draped with a little bit of sparkle and some hanging candles. The aisles were lined with mirrored pedestals holding short flower arrangements and candles of varying heights. We had the Larry King Orchestra play at our wedding, which made for a very lively and fun party. The most important things to me, aside from having all of our family and friends that we love surrounding us, were the band, a photo booth, and sushi! We had about 250 guests many of which came all the way from Andrew’s hometown of Montreal, Canada!

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: My dress was a silk linen Rosa Clara gown with a structured bodice and relatively full skirt. It was a little bit edgy and unlike anything I had seen before. I initially wore Valentino rockstuds to the ceremony but quickly changed into sparkly Jimmy Choo ballet slippers for dancing. To top it off, I wore Dana Rebecca Anna Beth pink quartz earrings and my grandmother’s vintage watch made of yellow and rose gold and adorned with rubies and diamonds. Our wedding bands were simple white gold bands for a conservative Jewish ceremony, both created by DRD. After the ceremony, I slipped on my new Sophia Ryan infinity band. I never planned to actually wear the two together but the plain band has yet to leave my finger because it was used in the ceremony which makes it so special. My bridesmaids wore a charcoal Amsale lace dress with vibrant purple flowers. I gifted them the rose gold and diamond Sylvie Rose bar necklace which they wore on my wedding day and have yet to take off!

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING DAY JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

The Anna Beth studs were my vision! I was obsessed with the black onyx when Dana first launched a similar design, and I remember e-mailing her immediately. It must have been 2011! Then some time later (post engagement) I spotted the pink quartz Anna Beth's and I knew I had to have them for my wedding day. They are so elegant, classic and romantic and totally fit the vibe I was going for.

HOW ARE YOU WEARING YOUR PIECES AFTER THE WEDDING?

The Anna Beth's are so versatile. I wear them with leggings and a sweater or to a dressier evening event!

NEXT PIECE ON YOUR WISH LIST?

Tough question! I absolutely love the Sylvie Rose long bar necklace as a new everyday piece as well as the Sylvie by the Yard for layering. I've also been eyeing the Buddha necklace, DRD hoops, initial cuff, and I'm always thinking about my next eternity band to add to the stack. Your guess is as good as mine!

  2. DRD BRIDE: Adrienne Kim

THE COUPLE: We met through my identical twin sister, which sounds crazy, but so cool. (It makes family vacations that much more fun!) We met in New York City during my brief stint there, followed by a year of long distance. Thank goodness for technology! Through our dozens on dozens of FaceTime meetings and bi-coastal weekend trips, we fell in love. He is a good dose of sensitive, and equal parts creative and thoughtful. For example, he filled a journal with 135 letters: one for every day we had been apart. For his proposal, he created a video, in which he drew out our relationship! As we planned for our wedding, we decided to make creative video invite. Check it out hereThe rest is history.

THE PARTY: Our wedding was exactly as imagined. My husband is a huge whiskey buff and he’s into the old school cigar lounge look. I, on the other hand, am a total book nerd and also love the museum, classic feel. The intersection of both our visions landed us picking the Athenaeum at Caltech University, (who would have known?). To set the tone, we went for a clean and modern palette with ivory and gold with subtle hints of colors seen in our flowers. We wanted our wedding to be one big party with the objective to have fun! Thanks to SHINE Entertainment, our personalized adult beverages, and 90's music, we did just that.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I fell in love with my dress by Carol Hannah. The Poplar dress is amazing with its architectural folding and draping: classic meets avant garde! To fit the sweetheart neckline, I chose to wear the Lauren Joy necklace for a hint of sparkle. I paired it with vintage 1920's earrings I scored from a successful day at the Brooklyn Flea!

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

Timeless. I was looking for something simple to compliment my dramatic dress. The daintiness of the necklace was perfect!

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO WEAR YOUR NECKLACE AFTER THE WEDDING?

The Lauren Joy necklace is so understated and timeless that it can be worn as an everyday piece: either layered or on its own.

NEXT PIECE ON YOUR WISH LIST?

How romantic is the Kathryn Lynn Bar Necklace or the Emily Sarah Bar necklace? I’ve been eyeing these pieces since they came out. Layering these with other dainty pieces by DRD would be amazing!

  3. DRD BRIDE: Leslie Fogel

Dana Rebecca Bride Leslie Fogel Chicago Wedding

THE COUPLE: Larry and I both went to the University of Michigan but he was a few years older than I, so we did not know each other very well at school (outside of the fact that I knew he was an identical twin!). A year after I graduated college one of my best friends from U of M was in town for her older brother's birthday party - which coincidentally Larry was also at (he was home for winter break from law school). We started talking that night and continued to keep in touch when he went back to school in Madison that semester. When he was back in Chicago for the summer, we decided to make things official. We did long distance (or mid-distance as we like to call it since Chicago/Madison really aren't that far) for 2 years before he graduated and moved back to Chicago.

THE PARTY: Our venue was a blank slate so we got to customize the space which was exactly what I wanted. As the venue was all-white, I wanted to keep a clean, sleek and sophisticated look, but with pops of color. We used a bright pink as an accent color to bring the room to life alongside lucite candles, oversized lamps and underlit boxwood topiaries. Our band, Larry King Orchestra, kept the dance floor jam packed all night. People were dancing up a storm so the late-night treat of Lou Malnati's pizza was a hit! I couldn’t have dreamed of a better night.

Dana Rebecca Bride Leslie Fogel Chicago Wedding Bridal Jewelry

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I fell in love with my Amsale dress the second I saw it. It was classic but with an edge and fit the vibe of our venue so well. As the dress was a statement, I wanted to keep everything else classic and chose a classic gold strap sandal by Joie and jewelry by DRD and Alexis Bittar to complement the dress. I wanted to feel like myself on the big day so kept my hair in loose natural waves.

Dana Rebecca Bride Leslie Fogel Chicago Wedding Bridal Jewelry

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

I wanted to select pieces I knew I would wear beyond the wedding. The Anna Beth earrings are beautiful, yet also classic enough to wear every day (which I do!).

I wear my Sophia Ryan gold band regularly sandwiched between two eternity bands. I love the mix of metals, people always complement me on my ring stack!

I am loving the Sylvie Rose by the Yard necklace! Seems like the perfect layering piece – or I would love to add another bridal eternity band to the collection!

  4. DRD Bride: Kristin Scrimalli

Dana Rebecca Designs Kristin Scrimalli Bridal Jewelry

THE COUPLE: Ben and I met in 2007 at a concert in Boulder, Colorado. We had a lot in common and were both from the Philadelphia area. We were friends for many years before we started dating in the early summer of 2011. Shortly after we started dating, I moved to Philly to be with Ben and I knew he was the one. I was lucky enough to marry my best friend on November 8th, 2015 and we are now expecting our first child together!

Dana Rebecca Designs Kristin Scrimalli Bridal Jewelry

THE PARTY: Starting with daytime activities for our guests at my family's country club to a French-inspired rehearsal dinner, we wanted everyone to get acquainted before our wedding day, stretching it into a unique 3-day celebration. From the moment our guests walked through the door at the Ritz, they were immersed in the beautiful old marble which was used as a backdrop for the entire event. The Ritz pushed us to think outside of the box, allowing us to take over the lobby for cocktail hour and adding deep fried twinkies to the late night menu.

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Kristin Scrimalli Bridal Jewelry

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Kristin Scrimalli Bridal Jewelry

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS: We added a unique touch by having an artist capture the event in real time by painting the celebration on the dance floor. We selected a band that we knew would bring all of the generations of guests together through music. The entire night the dance floor was not only packed, it was spilling over. Late night soft pretzels and cheesesteaks were served to represent the Philadelphia food scene. My dress was a one-of-a-kind designed by Matthew Christopher that had strategic beading with beautiful fabric inlays throughout. My Blahnik's and DRD Jessica Leigh drop earrings showcased the beading on my dress and served as the perfect touch of sparkle.

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Kristin Scrimalli Bridal Jewelry

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

I’ve always been a jewelry girl, so my wedding day jewels had to be just right. I wanted something classic and beautiful but also something I could dress up or dress down after the wedding. The drop earrings were ornate, light and added to my overall look instead of competing for attention. Ben went with a custom DRD white gold wedding band with a rose gold inlay and one round diamonds. I went for a thin, white gold and diamond eternity band that stacks beautifully with my engagement ring and is the perfect amount of bling.

  6. DRD Bride: Hillary Lev

THE COUPLEIn October of 2010, my girlfriend invited me to a casino-themed charity event for Children’s Memorial Hospital. Little did I know, meeting my future husband would be the best bet of the night. After a night of games, laughs, and bidding for children, we arranged to have our first date the following week. After three blissful years of dating, we planned a trip to Nicaragua and on the morning of our departure, Jason got down on one knee and proposed! He whisked me away on a romantic getaway to celebrate our engagement and I have been on cloud 9 ever since!

THE PARTYThis may sound alarming, but I did not want a wedding! I wanted to elope and thought Nicaragua would be perfect. Unfortunately my husband-to-be was not on board! Thus, we came up with the idea of a surprise wedding! We let our immediate family in on the secret, but told the rest of our family and friends that we were getting married in a family only ceremony on November 29th and a week later December 6th would be our reception. Now this was an incredibly difficult secret to keep, but we had repeated the story so many times that I even began to believe our own lie!

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Hillary Lev Bridal Jewelry

Needless to say our 200 guests were in complete shock after a slideshow and a previously recorded piece from Jason and I announcing that we did not wed the week prior because we wanted our friends and family present! Immediately following, the chuppah and rabbi came on stage and we walked down and said I do, while our friends and family watched in awe! I wanted a space that kept my guests on the dance floor all night while sipping on cocktails and enjoying great food! We chose 1st Ward inside the Chop Shop in Bucktown for our venue. We had lounge furniture throughout, purple and silver lighting, candles in crystals vases, and party favors such at “I love Lev” sunglasses to set the mood! To keep the party alive we hired Matt Roan who played all of our requests until 2 a.m.!

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I knew my strapless dress with lace detail was the one I was meant to wear when I put it on at Palazzo Bridal. I loved how the dress was elegant and timeless and would allow me to show off my dance moves! The satin belt, Manolo Blahnik peep toe shoes, and Dana Rebecca Jessica Leigh Teardrop Earrings made me feel like the ultimate bride on my special day!

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

I wanted to wear one piece of jewelry that would accentuate my features and be noticed through my long, dark hair. My Jessica Leigh Teardrops were the perfect piece and fit my vision of beauty and elegance.

My Jessica Leigh Teardrop Earrings are a timeless staple and I love wearing them for a night out on the town with my husband or for a special occasion! But, I still love and wear my first piece of DRD, my Rima Naya Earrings that Jason bought me when we were dating!

THE COUPLERyan and I met in Boston a little over 5 years ago. I sent him a Facebook friend request, thinking I knew him from summer camp.  It turned out he wasn’t who I thought he was and I was extremely embarrassed. We then realized we happened to live around the corner from each other and after chatting online, we finally decided to meet for a drink. We hit it off right away and we’ve been together ever since!

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Rachel Gershman Bridal Jewelry

THE PARTY: We got married at the Four Seasons in Boston, which is my hometown and close to where we used to live in the city. We wanted the wedding to feel elegant, glamorous and modern at the same time and knew right away the Four Seasons would capture that. We had our first look on its grand staircase overlooking the Boston Common. Our centerpieces and chuppah were decorated with orchids, roses and hydrangeas along with candles, which complemented our plum, charcoal and silver color scheme. It was really important to us to have a fantastic band and for everyone to be on the dance floor the entire night, and that’s exactly what happened! As a fun touch, our 180 guests were treated to an ice cream sundae bar, chicken tenders and french fries as a late night snack.

Dana Rebecca Designs Rachel Gershman Bridal Jewelry

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I had a picture of a dress in my head and felt I’d know “the one” once I tried it on. After a long weekend of dress shopping, I chose the fit and flair gown I had always imaged by Kelly Faetanini. I kept my accessories simple and glamorous with white gold Jessica Leigh earrings. They perfectly matched my Jimmy Choo slingback shoes and the beading in my dress. My florist added crystal pieces to my bouquet of white roses to tie everything together.

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

I fell in love with the Jessica Leigh earrings as soon as I got engaged. I knew I wanted to wear a timeless piece that felt romantic with the right amount of sparkle. Ryan surprised me with them as a wedding gift (maybe after a couple subtle hints) and I love how they completed my look. I also gave my bridesmaids the Sylvie Rose necklace in rose gold. The girls looked amazing in them!

THE COUPLE: Ben and I met through mutual friends. My best friend was dating (and is now married to) Ben’s roommate. We were always around each other and realized we got along really well. Ben took me on our first date to La Madia, which is where we celebrated our engagement with our families three years later!

THE PARTY: Our wedding was at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago. The ballroom had a vintage glamour vibe that was just perfect for what we envisioned for our big day. The chuppah held three chandeliers and was draped in gray to match the bridesmaid’s dresses. We had a lot of mercury glass accents throughout the space and pops of soft pink. My favorite parts were the personal accents, like the wedding photos we had of family members on the place card table. The music and guests really made the party. We had the Larry King Orchestra, who were amazing, and our friends and family danced all night long. We had just under 300 people at the wedding. Ben is from Ohio and my Mom is originally from New York which meant a lot of travel for our guests. We are so appreciative that they made the trip just to celebrate with us!

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: As soon as I put on the Monique Llhulier Crème Brulee dress in the honey color, I knew it was my wedding dress. It had the exact old world glamorous feel that I was looking for. I wore metallic Jimmy Choo slingback shoes, which went perfectly with the honey color of the dress. I wore my grandmother’s pearl and diamond bangle as my “something old” and the Anna Beth pink quartz earrings to add a timeless elegance to the look. The earrings were the inspiration for the color palette of the flowers at the wedding.

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

When I went to look for wedding jewelry, everyone pushed me towards dangly earrings, but I knew that just wasn’t me. I absolutely love the uncomplicated beauty of the Anna Beth pink quartz earrings. They are timeless, elegant and easy - exactly what I wanted for my wedding day.

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Janice Ong Chiodo Bridal Jewelry

One of our favorite clients, Janice, tied the knot in a fun-filled dance reception in Philadelphia, wearing our Jessica Leigh drop earrings. Featured as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things, the earrings added the perfect touch to her modern wedding!

THE COUPLE: Six years ago, we met at work in NYC. I always thought highly of Tim, but just considered him a friend, not knowing that he actually had a crush on me the whole time. For 3 years, we were friends and enjoyed going to concerts together (JayZ/Eminem, Usher, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi). Eventually, a mutual co-worker/friend planted a seed in my head that Tim would make a great boyfriend and I couldn't disagree. Tim finally confessed to me that I was his "#1 draft pick" all those years, and as they say, the rest is history!

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Janice Ong Chiodo Bridal Jewelry

THE PARTY: Our wedding was a black tie event at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. The ceremony took place in the planetarium, which was filled with candles. The reception was in the main hall of the museum with a larger-than-life Ben Franklin statue looking on. The color scheme was white, blush, and gray flowers accented by mercury glass vases and votives. Our first dance started off to Stevie Wonder's "You are the Sunshine of My Life", but quickly segued into a choreographed hip-hop routine to "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea. Our biggest focus was that the reception be a non-stop dance party, and the band Go Go Gadjet made this all come true! As a final treat, the guests were surprised with a Philly cheesesteak truck as they exited the museum.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I'm a huge fan of DRD and always knew that I would wear a piece of DRD jewelry at my wedding. In fact, I bought my wedding earrings (Jessica Leigh in white gold) before I even picked the dress! The next purchase was my Lazaro wedding gown, which I chose during my first day of wedding dress shopping at Kleinfeld's. My shoes were glittery Jimmy Choo strappy sandals, which completed the look.

I wear at least one piece of DRD jewelry in my everyday life! My favorites include my Sylvie Rose necklace, Anna Beth earrings, Margo Ashley earrings, XO initial cuff, and Lauren Joy bracelet. I have also been lucky to have gotten to know Dana as a friend over the years so I always knew that I wanted to wear a piece of her jewelry on my wedding day!

THE COUPLE: Adam and I are from the same hometown. He is 5 years older and I always had a crush on him growing up. When I was 19, (finally old enough), we reconnected one afternoon. I was going to hang out with mutual friends and he was grilling in his backyard in a white tee and the coolest pair of Dior sunglasses I’ve ever seen. I immediately tried on his sunglasses and asked if I could borrow them. I gave him my number and we went on our first date 2 days later. The rest is history!

THE PARTY: Our ceremony was at St. Clement in Lincoln Park. We had a traditional Catholic ceremony, followed by a reception at the Chicago Illuminating Company in the South Loop. Our venue was an old lighting warehouse turned event space. The space was the perfect blank canvas! Our colors were blush and champagne with a hint of navy. We wanted our theme to be very soft and elegant with some earthy details on the tables like driftwood and votive candles.

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Annie Showalter

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Annie Showalter

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I found the “Sofia” dress by Matthew Christopher at my first appointment and knew it was the dress I would walk down the aisle in. The underlining was a subtle champagne color, so gold shoes were the way to go. I found the Marilyn Monroe peep toe slingback and have worn them many times since my wedding day. I accessorized with pink quartz Anna Beth earrings for an elegant, easy touch and I was thrilled when my wedding day gift from Adam also came in a DRD box. Per my grandmother’s request, I also added in a fun hairpiece from BHLDN for an extra special detail.

Dana Rebecca Designs Bride Annie Showalter

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

I wanted earrings that enhanced my own features instead of competing with them. Also, it was important for them to be something I could easily wear again. My initial cuff was a surprise day-of wedding gift from my husband with both of our first initials, A & A. I kept my Cartier Love bracelet that my dad bought me when I was 18 as my “something old”, as I never take it off.

As a stylist and former accessories editor at InStyle, it's easy to see why Sabrina's big day was nothing short of perfection.

THE COUPLE: We met in college at GWU in D.C.  One of his good friends from home was my next door neighbor in our dorm freshman year and we all became very good friends. We started dating after we all graduated and I was living in NY working for InStyle and he was in Providence working for his family business. We dated long distance for about 4 years before we became engaged and I moved to Rhode Island.

THE PARTY: We had about 160 ppl at our wedding, which was at a saltwater farm overlooking the bay in Bristol, RI. Our Black Tie reception was in a beautiful Sperry sailcloth tent which has almost a 1920’s circus feel. We had lanterns of all types hanging from the tent ceiling and long farm tables covered in candlelight, beachwood vines, mercury glass and flowers. Our head table was covered in hydrangeas that flowed off the table onto the floor. We had a live band and everyone danced all night. Toward the end of the night, everyone enjoyed our dessert bar which had all types of candy, momofuku milk bar truffles, churros, cotton candy and more treats.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS: My dress was one of the first things I did, even before booking the venue. Its called the “Esther” dress and it was A-line, had layers and layers of lace, and a delicate cowl neck. My shoes were black and white lace peep-toe booties from Chanel - not your traditional bridal shoe but I feel like you have to have fun with your shoes. (Since nobody really sees them, they’re basically for you!) I wore gold Dana Rebecca Shonna Drew drop earrings, which definitely made the look. My bouquet was all whites and greens, very subtle and elegant. It was wrapped in a piece of lace from my mom’s wedding dress which I loved.

  13. DRD BRIDE: Allison Firestone

Dana Rebecca Bride Allison Firestone Bridal Earrings

THE COUPLE: Drew and I met in college in Austin and while I thought he was cute, it was not love at first sight. Drew used to wear Kobe Bryant jerseys and had huge diamond earrings (not even DRD), so clearly we were just friends. After months of hanging out and spending every free moment together, we decided that the jig was up and fell in love. 7-ish years later, we were married. I couldnt be happier! (Oh, and the jerseys are long gone).

THE PARTY: Our wedding was insane! The drinking and dancing did not stop until 2AM! That is exactly what we wanted. Our wedding was black tie in Los Angeles and the ceremony was on the rooftop of The London overlooking all of Los Angeles and the sunset strip. We were so happy all our friends from Texas, Chicago, New York and even Hong Kong made the trip. At the end of the night, we had the In-N- Out burger truck whipping up hamburgers to take care of our late night cravings.

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS: I wore a white Vera Wang ball gown. Now that was love at first sight! My shoes were Jimmy Choo and the jewels were DRD, of course. I wore the Rochelle Jo earrings in white gold and Karly Beth and Melissa Louise bracelets. The interesting part about my earrings, is that I actually had the idea of them in all diamonds and told Dana they would be a fabulous addition to her collection. And she did it! Love her.

WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR IN YOUR WEDDING JEWELRY AND HOW DID DRD FIT THAT VISION?

I knew I wanted a showstopper without taking away from my gown. I love a button earring, so the Rochelle Jo's were a no brainer. The bracelets were the final touch & the very necessary extra sparkle factor. I also gave my bridesmaids the Julianne Himiko necklace in rose gold - huge hit!

WE KNOW A BRIDE’S FOCUS IS ON THE SPECIAL DAY. TELL US YOUR PLANS FOR YOUR DRD PIECES AFTER THE WEDDING.

Dana always told me even with her statement pieces, they can be worn with jeans and t-shirt's - which is exactly what I do. I love looking at my wedding jewelry and thinking of what it all meant. #DRDlifer
